NuGrowth Meetups is a group dedicated to bringing together the Natural Hair Community in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. 

During the fall of 2011, the Audubon Naturalist Society at Woodend Nature Sanctuary served as host site to a group of aspiring Maryland Master Naturalists. This Meetup Group is an informal space in which we Master Naturalists can keep in touch, sharing our sightings of flora and fauna, inviting each other on nearby trail walks, and letting others know about upcoming events and programs that might be of interest.

The Chesapeake Audubon Society works in the Maryland region to promote the stewardship of natural ecosystems through conservation, restoration, education, and advocacy. We schedule hikes, canoe trips, and educational events throughout the year to help members and guests learn about birds, plants, and the natural world around them. Beginners are welcome!
